Joel boardroom 360px03.18.2015 – DEAR FRIENDS AND FANS OF IMPOSSIBLE:
Many of you have been asking for the latest news from Impossible Pictures.

A few months ago, my friend Jeff Swaim told me about his big idea using video to communicate in a new way, at massive scale and with super human personalization. But what he showed me was more than an idea. It was a real, two-way interactive video experience with Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, personally onboarding thousands of employees into the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. 4Here is where Impossible enters the story. Because even though the journey of Impossible Pictures has exceeded my wildest expectations, 2014 was the year when digital clearly eclipsed broadcast. So when Jeff’s company, Influence Technologies, made a move to purchase Impossible, I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pivot.

So we can finally share the exciting news: Impossible Pictures has been acquired by Influence Technologies.

Why acquire a production company? Because Impossible brings national quality production expertise and scale to Influence’s capabilities. And with the acquisition, I have joined Influence’s executive team as Chief Experience Officer.

A bit more background: Influence Technologies is the growth-stage startup that created iVX™, the technology platform that enables customers like Starbucks and Xerox and Pfizer to deliver two-way interactive video experiences at massive scale and – here’s the secret sauce – with real personalization and human empathy. I like to say, it’s where storytelling meets brain science. If you’re curious to know more, just holler.

The changes are exciting! But what hasn’t changed… is our desire to stay connected and collaborate. We would love to hear from you.

Keep on living a better story!
